The next room that they went to, two of them were dropped. As I was about to send my rocket launcher guy on a quest, three Deathclaws decided to crash the party so I manned him alone at the Vault Door and he got off one rocket before they continued on their rampage. The Missile Launcher also seems to have the same effect for defense in your vault. My dweller with the Fatman ran into rooms of three Radscorpions and dealt with them pretty convincingly by himself. Depending on your gear, level and stats it's entirely reasonable to solo run quests and makes AoE weapons the strongest you can have, imo. Is there specific situations where they might be more or less useful, so are they maybe more of a situational weapon rather than a jack of all trades (for example, would it be better to equip them to dwellers going on quests alone rather than in groups? Does it make a difference?)Įdit: I'm on the iOS version, fully up-to-date, in case Missile Launcher functionality varies by version.Īs a follow-up to my previous post, since I've playtested this, I can confirm that the Missile Launcher does affect all enemies. Next, are they even useful or worth equipping?ĭo they improve room clear speed by any significant margin, as opposed to a single-target weapon that is listed for equivalent damage? My question then is for anyone who has more information or experience on Missile Launchers and their variants: Am I right in my observation of what they do? What I found is that it appears to deal a fraction of its listed damage to all enemies in a room (?), so maybe 5-6 damage to ALL ENEMIES per shot in a room of 4 enemies, rather than all 20 damage to a single enemy at a time. So I received a Missile Launcher (an Enhanced one, to be specific) from a Lunchbox the other day and I decided to send a dweller with it out on a quest since it's damage seemed pretty decent (20-22).
